While our small family run business product volume doesn't warrant organic certification, our Bay Leaf and other products are grown entirely naturally, with no additional fertilizers or pesticides.
We plant, nurture, harvest, process, and package our leaves by hand and with love. We wipe our leaves individually during harvest, and in the case of persistent soiling we also rinse our leaves with plain water to remove any debris prior to drying and packaging. We use a combination of air drying and dehydration ovens (using gentle heat and fan driven air) to process our leaves prior to packaging.
Yes, we are a 100% small family run business. The genesis of the operation was periodic requests for bay leaves from our small grove of trees by Grandma Janet. Our teenage son was enlisted to begin harvesting, processing, packaging, and shipping the leaves to Janet and her friends for a small fee. He eventually asked his dad to set up this website in order to enable folks to more easily purchase our products.
